Abs On Rav4 D4d

During the grotty ice and snow we've recently had I was well impressed by the handling on my D4D. However, I think that being unable to turn off the ABS sucks! Has anyone done a mod on theirs to make it switchable?

thats a new one on me - seeing as I don't have abs on the RAVs...... you could always try mounting a long steel pole onto the drivers door externally, and by opening the window, be able to operate the new 'handbrake'. I can't comment on how effective it would be as I don't know how strong your upper body is and personally speaking, I'm not interested in case you get the wrong impression.

now, wheres that whisky.....?

Why would you want to turn off a vital safety feature which would infringe your insurance and class the car as unroadworthy:)

That 'vital safety feature' is an absolute liability in ice & snow. I can use cadence braking to much better effect. My last car (a Chrysler) had a switch factory fitted. In the wet/dry I don't think you can beat ABS however.
