My rev limit is set at 5000 rpm even when warm and no ecu light comes on, this does not come on even when ignition is turned, its very annoying, a full diagnostic showed up a faulty maf which i replaced and a new cat is needed would this be the cause, cheers folks help would be greatly appreciated, im in glasgow

hi mate

the cat has been designed to have gases passed in all engine loads (!) - in case yr cat is about to die coz the passage holes in strainers are clogged or so -- the gases volume might be restricted resulting criating of back pressure that breaks the engine for rev up. THis might be a reason.
