Tvis Or Not?

How do I find out for sure if my car is the TVIS type or not? Does one go by chassis numbers or is it purely by year?

It's a 1990 H-Reg AE92.

open your Hood and you will have a log shape Part to the top left of your air filter and it will say TVIS

So buy not seeing one of the "log-shaped" thingy, I have the more powerfull non-TVIS engine right? B)

On a H plate would imagine the 4a-ge engine you have on the 1.6 lump will be t-vis as they changed to t-vis early.

The T-VIS mark has been known to wear off...

i believe u have the later type engine which came into the ae92 at the end of 1989. On the the throttle part of the ngine it shud clearly say tvis, same as the mk1 mr2's if this is not the case u have the newer type engine which has a little bit more bhp!!
