Hi all,

I am thinking of buying a set and was wondering how easy / hard it is to fit on a 57 avensis.

I have looked at the manual for the bulb type and it says H7 but toyota says H4??? THEY ARE H7!! :)

Could anyone whohas fitted these on a 57 onwards ( do not know if the earlier ones are different) please let me know :-

1) what type you got, whether a h7 or h4 DO NOT NEED NOW

2) you fit yourself or not ( debating whether to pay someone to do it..lol I know, the easy option)

3) the K rating of the bulb ( do not want anything that is blinding or different colour or that will draw attention to me!! ;) ) LOOKING AT PURE WHITE NOW

4) do you really need to take the bumper of?? some fitters say you do not have to???

5) If I want to change back to original for one reason or another, can it be done easliy and quickly??

6) anyone who has intalled, any installation pictures please?

7) forgot the main thing too, price if you can. looked at a few and the prices vary alot!!

Thanks in advance for your input and help.

Regards

Hi j_jabbar,

was wondering if you could take a picture of your engine bay where the ballasts are please?

Would be very grateful.

Hi MW0ELC,

thanks for that. Thats is the reason why I am asking why the price differences.. I have see some that are touching three figures and was wondering if there are different specs we should be looking at.

To Lungo.

Build quality, ease of fitment, pure & simple. That's all it amounts too, if you buy from "HIDS4U. . for example (as many people on this forum have) you pay more because of the quality & as they trade as a proper company, if anything goes wrong under warranty, you have a contact number & trading address which can be confirmed via Companies House, London. 5000k gives off a pure white light, which does blind oncoming traffic, 6000k has a slight blue tinge, which is less prone to dazzle other road user's. As to legality of these products, i will leave that to others.

Regards, Beagh.
