is it me or am i not understanding this post

are you trying to say that during this winter you pulled no one out of the snow with your rav.

whats the point of having towing eyes back and front of our cars if you dont used them

no wonder people say they are no good off road, its the fact that only a minority use them off road

quick search on google. 2006 rav4 ground clearance 7.5 inch 1998 land rover discovery 8.11 inch

mrbilly....your way off mark here...on this forum RAV4 we have a love hate relationship with the Honka's ugly step sister 4x4... it's just a laugh and a joke we have... We where jokingly showing a video of a RAV pulling a Honka out of the snow...

We all know the RAV is a softroader and will not hold a candle to a LR off road...as their breeding is mainly for offroading...I myself spent many years driving LR for Queen and Country and there is not many vehicles that can be air lifted..then dropped and driven afterwards.... :unsure: :unsure: but also we take the mickey out of them on thier build quality...which is somewhat wayward to say....

Othere's on here do infact off road in their RAV's and some even drag race them....

The recent Snow and bad weather we have had...has proved to many what a wise and good buy the RAV was...I personnaly see TWO RR in ditches...so much for there ground clearance there...but we all agree that the RAV is indeed a good versatile 4x4....Oh and not many use them on here for the school run...so that one's out as well.

Aye Laddie....then ye sit in the Discovery, and it sinks 1.5 inches on its duff suspension, so the Rav ground clearance austensibly greater.....

Stewpot,

Cannot believe you would put the twin exhaust system which I intend to steal at such obvious risk!!!! What if the Honda had actually gained traction, and shot into the back of the (soon to be mine) twin barrow handles? Did anybody else notice the Honda even had its steering wheel at the wrong side? What kind of Quality Control dae they call that ?

Loved the optical collusion showing the Rav's wheels going in opposite directions....look again if yooz missed it.

Yours in disbelief,

Big Kev :lol::thumbsup:

Some CRV owners, having realised they made a big mistake buying the said CRV instead of a Rav try to commit suicide

by driving over cliffs. Of course being a CRV the inevitable happens. They get suck........................and need help from

a Rav :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

OMG I am so going to love showing this clip to my wife clearly showing a Rav4 (like the one I own) towing a CRV (like the one she owns) out of trouble.

Kev

That is a pretend steering wheel on the passenger side like Maggie Simpson has. It is Toby the Westie that drives the car.

hi folks

stew......brill video, :yahoo:

cant wait for some more of the white stuff now.

i too have the 'yellow' recovery ropes x2 in a bag in back of rav,but i have cut off the big clumsy hooks and attched some decent shackles.

so with all-terrain tyres,20' of rope,shackles,and a very reliable rav4,i could pull a few motors out of any snow drifts if i am asked to :D

and hope it may even be a 'honka' or freelander :lol:

also planning another greenlaning trip around suffolk soon with friends...cant wait :yahoo:
