Hi guys,

I know there are numerous threads ( if not 100's) on this website in regards to people finding there boots over filling with water. I have my 2001 hatchback 1.8vvti SR and it still doing it...even after sealing the headlights...boot gas struts...air vents behind bumper...etc...etc! Since the water is filling in the rear arch wells...im thinking of taking drastic action...by DRILLING a few holes in each well...and treating the holes with anti rust paint...this way it can carry on leaking...but just drain out some place! What do you guys think??? Please help guys. Im desperate now!

Hi,

Have you tried looking at the shock absorbers on the rear?

This is where it was coming in for me on th epassengeres side. I covered everything around the nuts & seals with an Everbuild product called Stikall. It has no smell & seals it brilliantly.

Have a look if you, have not already. If you see rusty smears on the rubber coating, then you have the problem.

Cheers,

Marv
