Been busy today fitting a strut brace and a second cold air feed, the brace was a doddle after moving the alarm, but took ages to cut the front spoiler insert as I wanted the intake set into it. Think its worth it though

Here you go 97, as you can see, there should be just enough lead to move your alarm

I gave up tryin to post the following pics so heres the links

Cheers thats great! I'll move that before I take it to the garage - save some labour costs! :)

Brace looks wicked - can't wait to get mine on!!! I like what you've done with the cold air feed B)

I got some heat shielding from Demon for the Green kit - I'll post up some pics when I've sorted it.

By the way is that one of those TRD oil caps from e-bay? Looks bling - might have to look into one of those babies! Are they universal fit?

Got the oil cap from guy on the Lexus site, can't remember who though :( Hopefully someone will remember, I know he's from Ireland, not that its any help to you

Just remembered, it was Grim

It really shows up the rest of the engine bay, gonna have to get it sorted ;)

Ok just moved my alarm, spot the stupid mistake though..

I completely forgot you have the ST & I have the SI - opened my bonnet & there's a massive metal thingy sitting in the place you've put your alarm! Doh!! Must be the ABS?

I've had to mount the alarm right down the front by the fan belt - not ideal at all but there's no where else for it to go! Will post pics tomorrow when the brace is on.

That fourth bolt on the top turrets isn't on mine - did you put that on? & how from underneath?

As for the oil cap I remember that GB - wish my bay was tidy & shiny also!

Yeah, sorry, never thought about the abs pump

The ST and SI must be fitted with different top strut mounts as its a four bolt fixing as standard on mine

Yep I know what you mean but sometimes it does me in - even simple stuff is a nightmare!!

Mine's now in the garage over night (second time this month) just to have a strut brace fitted!! :ffs:

Overnight? Have they come across a problem? Don't tell me the bolts are in different places :(

Basically they couldn't get hold of me in time to tell me it was ready.

They left a message saying its done but I don't know how - last time I saw it they were either going to drill the forth hole out or remove my suspension - turn the top turrets round & put it back...

I'm hoping they just drilled it, have to get it in the morning - nightmare!!! :ffs:

Oh & check the seats thread - great news! Typical Seo day! :crybaby:

It'll be worth it in the end mate

Yes & no, Dazh has been very helpful.

Basically with a torque wrench it would be easy I guess - except you have to move the alarm and for some reason my car has three top mount bolts where Dazh's has four, so mine needed to be drilled or modded - typical!

Hope so! :D

I'm not sure, I don't get why they would be different, I mean its the suspension which surely should be identical?!

Got me > :wacko::blink::huh:

My mate rekons they must have run out of bolts the day they built mine.

I didn't know the torque setting for the nuts mate, so in the end just nipped em up with 1/4 turn.

As for the strut mounts being different there a few cars that have different types on the same model. Think it just depends who supplies em to the factory quickest ;)

Ah well that explains it!

Can't wait for a test drive with mine on. :D
