Front Speakers

Hi guys. Been busy today installing all my ICE from the old Fiat. Unfortunately, the last owner has obviously done an install, and the wires to the two front Speakers were a bit loose. They've dropped off. So how do I get to them? :help:

This is what I've done so far today... B)

1) wired a power lead from the Battery to the boot

2) fitted my kick-***** Pioneer head unit

3) fitted my DAB box under the ECU

4) wired in a DAB aerial to the front windscreen

5) drilled an earth point for the DAB aerial in the front pillar

6) Fitted my Genesis subwoofer and amp

7) drilled ANOTHER earth for that

8) bought the wrong size infinity components for the doors (13cm, think I need 17cm)

Have decided against 6x9s in the shelf. Don't want to do anything that can't be undone. Will rely on my 12" Genesis setup for the bass and the door speakers/front Speakers for the rest. Fitting the 4-channel amp in the boot is gonna eat what little space is left, so I'll be down to the 45w RMS of the head unit

Im not sure what you mean by the wires have dropped off? Do you mean they have fallen in between the door panel or something?

As for not going for 6x9's because it can't be undone, dont forget you can sell your parcel shelf install and swap it with the buyers parcel shelf

Dont forget to get some pictures of it asap

Vmail: me being my name is possibly better than you being a dipstick <_<

Robie: The wires fell clean out into the passenger footwell. Unfortunately you'd need arms like E.T. to reach up and push the spade connectors back on. So I need to get at the front Speakers from the top, but I can't see how. Hence the question...

And as for swapping parcel shelf's with the buyer of my car... erm... doesn't that require me to sell my car to another Yaris owner?

The grille for the in dash Speakers pops off, I have replace/Removed the Speakers in my Echo/Yaris plenty of times, I use a flat blade screwdriver put it under the grille, lever it up and it should come off with a little force (Not to much) Put the screwdriver under the section closest to you when your sitting in the front seat.

I don't use the dash Speakers anymore, I use the doors for 6.5" Midbass and have 5" coax's in the Kickpanels.

Check it out on the link below.

Well, I found that front Speakers had already been replaced with a set of pretty good Pioneers, I added a set of 17cm Pioneers to the door, and my amp in the back has finished it off. Sounds pretty sweet and I don't need to worry about my bass duffing up the 6x9s... :D
