Alarm Problems

I have a new Avensis TSpirit Diesel that is now 10 months old which I have had from new. Last week I took it to my local dealer for its 20,000 service. Since it has come back, the alarm keeps going off, much to the annoyance of my neighbours.

Will be taking it back to the dealer soon, but anyone had the same?

Ooh yes. We had that when my dad bought his Carina. I heard the alarm at 2 in the morning and thought someone's stealing the car... never mind it's insured.

Anyway, 5.30 in the morning neighbours come knocking on the door asking us to switch the '!Removed! alarm off.'. Woops. Left the car unlocked the rest of the night.

Anyway, that was down to a piece of plastic missing off the bootlock catch, so 'the car assumed' a door was open. We sorted that the next morning.

It may be worth checking all the door catches, although after being in for a service, it may more likely be down to electronics somewhere.
