Rav 4 Reebok Timing Belt Change. What's A Good Price?

Hi chaps.

I've just realised my Rav 4 Reebok's probably due for a timing belt change. It's currently around 64,500 on the clock, and I haven't a clue how long cam belts last, and what a good price would be for fitting a new one. Has anyone got any ideas?

It's a 2000 (W reg) and I'm starting to get that russian roulette feeling every time I drive it around. I think the recommended period for a change is 63,000 miles, but do the belts usually last much longer than that?

Cheers & thanks for your help!

Hi Ravished

Cant help with how long cam/timing belt will last untouched, sorry.

I did ,however, have a belt changed in October and the belt kit, water pump, antifreeze and labour came to £329.89 inc VAT

The interval is 60k and there will be a safety margin but don't leave it too long. I don't know what the price would be but just phone a few garages and dealers.
