In Car Dash Lights Query

Hi guys,

I have a 2001 hatchback SR Avensis. I recently fitted my new jvc car stereo. Only problem is the stereo unit has red lights and all the other lights ie dash lights and heater control knob lights are green. So i was thinking of changing all the lights in my avensis to RED! My question is: is this easy to do? and has any one done this successfully before? Please do let me know guys. Thank you.

It'll be possible because all bulbs have to be replaceable, but to be honest, red everywhere, it'll give you a head-ache. I'll agree though, the green doesn't look very appealing, how about white?

Why didn't you think of that before changing the head unit? On more expensive units, you can choose colour of the display etc.. The cheaper model usually comes with one colour in the head unit, but usually they have head units in different colours just to match the interior light of the car.

It is possible to change colour of the interior light. There are some special kits to buy somewhere. I have forgotten where.

Not much help telling them what they should have done, red all over looks sweet my cousin has a new A4 all red dash looks awesome search eBay for red avensis bulbs and buy yourself a haynes manual of there while your at it and that has a step by step guide to replacing all bulbs including pics goodluck

Where did you get the surround to make a standard stereo fit in the Avensis? I'm looking to replace mine.
