Just picked up a Carina E and want to chane the stereo in it. How do I remove the facia around the stereo. Is it the same as all Toyota's - pull it off??

You start with the front of the headunit. Then you take away the plastic rectangular ring around the headunit most of them have. After that you use the pulling tools that was delivered with the old head unit or feelerblades to get the head unit out of the centerpanel. You only need to take away the facia to get more space for your hands when changing the wires inside the hole for the headunit.

To get the facia away you start in the lower parts to pry it out. You should be careful because the plastic might be old and too easy to brake. Specially the plastic pegs on the sides.
