What oil and additives (if any) do you use in your Toyota and why?

I use a fully synthetic brand (forget the make but its in a gold bottle...) and have used Xado products and Greased Lightening in mine.

I still have a load of Castrol Edge TD 5W40 because I stupidly forgot to bring it with me last service and the garage just used whatever Toyota's standard stuff is (10W40 semi I assume - I just hope topping that up with 5W40 is okay! )

I do notice a slight difference with the fully synth vs semi; Engine sounds a bit smoother and starts a bit more readily on cold days, but tbh. by the time it's half way through the year the difference is pretty negligible.

The difference is less than, say, the difference V-Power makes tho' :)

Not used any additives so far tho...

What are yours for; Just the injector cleaner?

I use Castrol Magnatec 10W40 because the engine has been sitting for a while and I wanted to be sure nothing would be damaged upon first start after I replaced the gaskets. :D
