Found the attached which in some cases link to original factory manuals..

For Yaris petrol engines

http://pdftown.com/2000-2002-Toyota-Echo-Service-Manual.html

Direct access to manuals without downloads..

http://www.scionlife.com/tech/

Yaris D4D

I paid £3 plus VAT and downloaded and saved the Engine Repair manuals from..Toyota Service Information...

http://techdoc.toyota-europe.com/SearchRes...E=A%20&VIN=

Note there are about 60 separate PDF files so you need to be very organised to download and save them all in the one hour you have paid for.

Well worth it in my view..

Now that looks useful - I've been struggling to find anything out about the D4d lump! What kind of thing is in there? Plenty of diesel-specific stuff? & how big are the files?

Cheers! :)

Basically it's a complete list of diagrams of everything on a diesel Yaris. plus a few instructions...

I only took the engine and Engine Management system....I downloaded 94 or so files in the 60 minutes I had...

eg how to remove and re-install cylinder head, change oil filter, change an injector, inspect and change the timing chain etc etc.

At the price it is Dirt cheap in my view...

Sounds good to me... would have been even more useful before I paid someone else to do the headgasket, but I'm really not sorry I didn't take that one on.

Do you need to know the vin or anything? Or is it listed by engine type (i.e. 1nd-tv)? Just want to make sure I don't waste any of my 60 minutes!

No. But if your car is a year when the model changes.. you really ought to dig out your V5 - has the engine number on it...

What you need to do is go all the way through selecting the model and the manual you want, and get it to the stage when it asks you to pay..., decide before you pay

What you want to download

a directory you will save them into.

and be ready to indulge in hi speed downloading and saving.

Of course, you could just download them all and then save them afterwards but if anything goes wrong or your PC hiccups or you run out of RAM.. or..

I just saved them with the name Toyota gave them and sorted by alphabetical order after... Speed is of the essence..

Aaarg, I'm not getting this!

I searched under 'Repair'\'Repair Manuals' for vehicle model as 'Yaris', Model Code as 'NLP10' (which is correct for the D4D isn't it?), all publication types, all languages. I then expanded the 'Repair Manuals' section, then 'Engine', and there's nothing listed in English, only Czech, Dutch and Italian!

Any ideas?! Thanks again... :)
