Banging When Going Over Bumps

Seem to be getting a lot of banging from the rear of the car when going over bumps- as sort of clunky sound. Is this likely to be the exhaust or suspension problems?? Many thanks.

99 times out of 100 on Celicas this is the 'D' cup bushes for the rear anti roll bars, It's a very cheap fix and easy to do if your into home mechanics. Anyways, this is definately the first thing to check.

Thanks for the advice- always useful to be in the know before you take the car somewhere- not that hot on mechanics!

banging is the anti roll bar at rear as said before . i used pdf plummbers tape on bar first , cos visible wear was seen , then replaced new d - cup rubbers. stopped it dead .
