Verso Change Oil Light Vault

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a 58 plate Verso D4D Diesel. The change oil light has been flashing on intermittently; this is accompanied with a loss in power (0 revs) which can lead to the car stalling when in higher gears. This is obviously very dangerous and has led to a few close shaves on motorways and busy roads. I have put it into my local Toyota dealer who on the advice of Toyota technical have changed the ECU twice (first one faulty) and recently changed out a 5amp circuit???? to the Battery. The car is back with the dealer as none of these fixes have worked. The car is still under warranty. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Cheers

Update

Got the car back , the garage replaced the fuse box and mount which was loose and vibrating, this was causing a short in the engine management system thus making the car shutdown. Hopefully this will resovle the issue

Fingers crossed

Update 2

The car is running fine but just noticed the CD player and ICE entertainment are now not working, hopefully it is just a fuse.

That is exactly the kind of fault Toyotas aren't supposed to suffer from!

I agree 100%. I bought my car on the strength of Toyota's reputation and reliability , I don't think I would buy again in the future.

No Manufacturer can guarantee every vehicle will be perfect, somebody will get one with an issue. By the nature of forums and humans in general we complain/let off steam a lot more than we praise :) . However when an issue is potentially dangerous like this it needs sorting

21st Century people expect perfection immediately, we could be described as an intolerent bunch  ;)
