2004 Le Ashtray

I have just purchased a Corolla LE, 2004. We took our first drive today, a sunny, bright day. Delightful drive.

But ... it has no ashtray. At deal-time, the dealer said he would install an ashtray. He apologized at pick-up time, saying the ashtray would not arrive until next week. OK, I can live with that. Then he showed me a photo of the ashtray, and it is basically a can that fits in a cupholder.

I do not smoke cigarettes but a pipe, and I regularly wedge my hot pipe in a car's dashboard ashtray while I'm driving. I would not be able to do that with this can-like contraption.

Would anyone know of an after-market in-dash ashtray for this model, or if an in-dash ashtray from a previous model fits (I could try to hunt one down through a junk yard).

I'm new here. Perhaps this issue has been broached before, but I've not seen it. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.
