Hello everyone,

I was just wondering if anyone knew where? ( am asuming the fuse box under the bonnet?) and which relay would control the central locking system on a 2001 Gen 7 celica?

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Tom

Ther are more than one fuse box, one under the bonnet and the other (that I've found) is in the side of the centre console next to your left knee (assuming right hand drive) details should be moulded into the inner face of the cover.

Good luck.

I don't think you'll find that it's as simple as a relay that controls the central locking. Sure there's a little ECU for it.

What's your problem?

Hi,

Well when i lock the car using the key fob or the key in the door, i can hear the central locking clicking, but then theres a 2-5 second delay until the indicators flash and the doors unlock. I also noticed that the central locking switch on the center console will lock the car from the inside but not unlock. So i kinda figured the 2 problems were related.

This is a tempermental issuse, sometimes the everything works fine so i know the central locking switch on the console works.( locks and unlocks). but most of the time am stuck with the senario as described above.
