Brake Lights On !

Just wondering if this is normal, when I got into my car tonight before i put in the ignition key, i pumped the brakes and I seen my brake lights go on how is this possible with out the key in?

Directly from the Battery. For example, if you leave your lights on and take take your key out they will still be on and a buzzer will sound when you open the door alerting you that your lights are still on.

Some cars have that facility, I believe it’s a safety feature

Both my Accord and my Yaris do this. Safety feature and perfectly normal. ;)

Not unless your lights are on all the time when you are out of the car. They will only come on when you touch the pedal.
