Wheel Nuts

Hi,

Yaris SR 2002 - orinigal alloys & nuts

I need to take all my wheels off tommorow.

In my glovebox i have a small black box that the wheel nust came in, all thats in it is a small socket with 3 prongs.

I've not looked at it for a while but how do i use this? Does it slide onto the end of the wrench provided in the boot? I assume this is used to undo the special circular nut then you take it off and undo the rest with just the normal wrench?

When bought the special 3 prong nuts all had steel covers over them that can be slid on and off. As the car as been to the mechanics a few times over the last month I assume this has been lost. Are spares covers available (are these a standard size?) and where to buy?

Thanks

Yeh, this three pronged thing is the key to your locking nuts. Simply put this onto the end of the wrench and you will be able to remove them. Without this, you're stuffed im afraid. ><

Can't help you about replacement covers. Presumably Toyota will supply them.

Managed to get them off this morning with some brute force. The missing steel cover was actually jammed inside the wrench socket, obviously the last mechanic didn't even use his own wrench and didn't own up to losing it!!
