Hi there i have just started driving and very pleased to say my first car is a starlet :D

i have wired up many sound systems in mates cars so i know what im doing but i cant find anywhere to ground my amp so i cannot power my amp!

if anyone knows best place to ground it or know what could be any help would be great :)

There are many bolts within the boot area to ground to, remeber you don't want to be grounding more than a metre from the amp.

Just pull back some the plastic, remove the bolt, clean up the area, and then ground there!

Just out of curiosity, why do you not ground it more than a metre away?

Think it is just due to resistance, the longer a wire the (generally) more resistance there is which causes more heat. Esp with the rubbish wire you get to wire amps!

If you need to know anything about car stereo (esp important stuff like RMS, wiring, why you shouldn't run 6x9s over a sub etc) dude let me know and I will happily help :)
