1996 Camry oil leak

My 1996 Toyota Camry has 118,000 miles on it. It is the 4 cylinder model. It has had a severe oil leak for the last year (approximately 1 quart every 1,500 miles). The mechanics that have looked at it blame an external head gasket leak, an oil pan seal leak and a rear seal leak. The oil hits the ground from a point just rearward of the oil pan (and based on the smell of burning oil, is hitting the exhaust pipe if not the catalytic converter). Has anyone had any problems like this?

That's nothing! I once had a really severe leak that leaked a quart of oil every 200 miles or so.

It leaked in the same location as yours.

I changed the front mail seal and all was well.
