Hi there I have fitted a replacement drivers side (UK) power window regulator with few problems. But could use some help here. The new unit only has two cables. It did say on the box of the new unit that I may have to make a new connection and a new short cable is supplied one blue and one black.

The connector on the old unit has 5 cables as follows:

1. Blue & Red

2. Green & White

3. Red & Blue

4. White & Black

5. Red & Green

The window switch has an auto function.

I can make the window go up and down by connecting and reversing wires 1 & 4 but could use

some help on the connection required to make the switch work.

Any help appreciated. :)

Is it a genuine motor bought from a toyota dealer?

Could it be that you've got a motor for the passenger side?

Hi thanks for your reply.

It is not a genuine motor but a replacement.

it is for the drivers side.

Did it come with an installation manual, and if so, what exactly does it say?

I can see that the writing on the motor says "front door, right door", but only in uk the right hand door is the drivers door.

In all other european countries "right door" is the passengers door.

'' English Power windows front doors

Use this installation instruction also for the opposite side.

wire as per wiring diagram (I cant see a wiring diagram with the unit)

For the replacement of the spare part , in case the motor connector is not compatible

with the original one, make the wiring connection with the cable supplied ''

hello, I have the same problem today. I have a replacement part for the windows lift with only two wires that needs to be connected to 5 wires. Did you find a solution?

Thanks in advance for your reply.

I bought the replacement from Germany, therefore I have the 5 wire loom and a two wire regulator. Does anyone know where I can purchase A 2 pin connector from?
