Tyre Pressures

Hi,just bought a Rav4 last wednesday,what are the correct tyre pressures for a 1998 2litre Freesport (3 door) 235x60x16.....the handbook says 25psi all round,seems a bit low to me......Thanks

Hmmm, I set mine to 28psi all round. I find the steering gets a bit heavier @25psi and the mpg is better @28psi... then again I am normally carrying stuff in the back during week days and that adds a bit of extra weight! I also tow a trailer sometimes and that seems to tow better with the increased pressure. I have checked my tyres and they seem to be wearing even across the width @ 28psi Give it ago, you can always let the air out if it does not suit you.
