Right Hand Side Headlamp Not Working

Hello All,

I have a T reg avensis. The right hand side headlamp has stopped working. I replaced the bulb and checked - no luck. I think it is down to the wiring - possibly? I pulled out the relay for the headlamps and then switched on the light and saw that both headlamps were not working - so I guess that rules out the relay. The fuses do not seem to have blown( I can see the contacts). I have to also say in a short while I had to replace the rear -right hand side, brake lights - the one which is always on and the one which comes on when braking. Both bulbs seem to have blown off together , I thought that was unusual.

Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated.

thanks,

George.

Hi George, you need to check the voltage (12vdc) on the connector at the bulb end, then work back from there to any connections in the loom and back to the fuse box/relays.

Hello Pete,

I checked continuity on the fuse and realised it was just a bit loose. I just pushed the fuse in a bit more hard. The bulb was blown anyways , I replaced it - all is fine now.

Thanks for your help.

Warm Regards,

George.
