Hello

I posted a while ago about my 1991, 4af, 1.6 carina2.

I need some info' about the Choke system?

The Choke system if I have this correct goes as follows.

The choke flap closes by the Bi-Metalic Coil and drepressing the accelerator pedal.

when engine started and a short delay, Choke breaker valve "A" operates and opens the choke flap slightly. Which mine does.

Then choke breaker "B" should operate and open the choke flap even more. mine does not do this. mine becomes very lumpy!

I think i have traced the pipework for Choke breaker valve "B" as follows:

"B" comes from TVSV port "L" ......................."L" is connected internally via tvsv to "J" which in turn comes from the Top Port on the secondary side of carburettor ?

This top port has NO vacuum ?

(only time "B" has vacuum on it is after the car has warmed up a while and i ssume that it is because the tvsv has operated to a higher internal stage due to increased temp' ?)

Is the above description correct?

Any idea where me Vacuum has gone and how to get it back ?

Thankyou for any help
