Rev Counter Installation - Speedo Cowl

Hi, this is my first post but I've been skulking round awhile :D

I recently ordered a Toyota rev counter for my 2007 Aygo Black, from this eBay listing.

It arrived today and includes the rev counter, screw, and speedo cowl with the hole, but the speedo cowl doesn't have the silver/grey surround on it. I'm assuming I can remove the old one, but I don't want to break it. has anyone else had this problem?

The plastic surround unclips quite easily and you should be able to reattach it to the cowl without difficulty.
