Hi folks

New to the world of Toyota, an impulse purchase means i'm now the owner of a 1990 Celica GT-R. Bought as a restoration project and not having taken on a Japanese motor before (previously always bought German) I was wondering if there were any recommendations for sourcing parts etc?

You could always use owners clubs if there is a part you can't track down or good old eBay.

i used breakeryard.com , you enter a request and you are sent replies from breakers nationwide. managed to get reconditioned gearbox and transfer box for my st205 gt4 at the bargain price of 295 delivered to scotland and with full 6 month warranty..... just make sure you dont opt to get text replies as they can charge up to £4.50 per request.
