Hello friends

On saturday I signed for a brand new Avensis SW 2.2 D4D 150HP. The good negotiation performed allow me some money to change the Speakers. To do that, I have the usual questions :

- front-door Speakers :

- how to remove/replace the Speakers

- which size

- which depth

- rear-door speakers :

- how to remove/replace the speakers

- which size

- which depth

I checked on Toyota TechDoc and did not find any information on that.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks !

:P

P.S. : as soon as I'll receive my T27-SW, I'll send some pictures and feedback, and will make usual DIY ...

Hi,

I would recommend waiting until your new car arrives and you had a chance to listen to the T27's sound system, before spending money on such parts.

I find the T27's sound system of superior quality over my previous Peugeot 406.

But that's a matter of personal preference of course. ;)

Dears Toyota friends,

After some weeks with my new car, I now have a clear vision of the sound quality.

Yes the sound is good, but not as it is on my Lexus IS² 250 Executive with the Mark Levinson speaker & amplifier system. Avensis is a 2-way speaker system and the lack of amplifier is making the noise without bass and bass-medium at low power.

This is important as I listen to my music at low-level, in order to let the familly sleeping during long night ride.

So, I intend to work on this with :

- speaker replacement, maybe with a 3 way speaker system

- radio replacement with an Alpine IXA-W407BT (french link)

- maybe with a subwoofer for superior bass at low-level

- maybe with a power amplifier linked to the Imprint audio processor of Alpine

To do it, could someone help me on removing the door panel to access the Speakers ?

Thanks for your help,

Regards !
