Leads To Coils - Which One In Which?

In another attempt to clutch at straws I've taken the advice of a local garage who cannot look at the car for at least a week . So I went in to disconnect the Battery and discharge the capacitors as advised. It's then I noticed that the leads to the coils didn't look right. There's one black one and one grey (colour blind, yeah I kno ;) ) one or at least a lighter colour. I could have sworn the black one was at the back and the lighter one at the front (coil). Well now the black one is at the front and I am now wondering if either I have memory problems and the piccys in the haynes manual are wrong OR the RAC guy left them the wrong way round.

Any out there know for sure ?

It's OK I found a few pictures and they all confirm my suspicions, leads put back right.

one query is why were the leads taken off in the first instance was the vehicle run after rac attendance????
