Cheap Diesel Oil In Stoke?

Not sure if this is in the right section but I just spotted some Mobil1 0w-40 Diesel Oil (8 Litres) with (Up to now) 1 bid, 99p, & seeing as I've not got a diesel & I live in Scotland I thought I'd give aheads up ncase any other TOC members want a (possible) bargain.

The oil has nowt to do with me or anyone I know but if admin feel this thread isn't ok the feel free to delete it. :)

As I'm posting this with 3 hours left the oil stands at £8.49 for 8 litres. Still a possible bargain ?

I know they generally have more detergents etc...than petrol engined oils but would it really do much harm doing a couple of services with this stuff!?

I might have been tempted had I lived a couple of hundred miles south from where I am.

Beware cheap oils. There are fakes coming out of the far east. They'll copy anything.:)

Halfords recently had a good deal on Mobil1, I bought a couple of 5 litre ones.

I would've bid had I had a diesel, tbh I was tempted anyway because I used Mobil1 diesel in my Carina years back & had no problems, though I realise they have more detergents etc.. than "petrol" oils,

I contacted Mobil at the time & they simply said it was up to me !

btw I ain't Scottish,(re:Mars Bars...) I simply reside here !

btw "went like snow of a ditch", I presume it means the same as "sh*t off a shovel".
