Can I just add one comment which no-one seems to have noted, especially the mods....

The first post stinks of SPAM in my opinion.

Andy

I don't think this is spam, any business using this forum to place an advert professing a special event or service would spell Miracle correctly... :P :D

No offence meant Luke :)

As per Wikipedia link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microfiber

I ll re-iterate,a nd quote in the article.

"Microfiber textiles tend to be flammable and emit toxic gases when burning.[citation needed] They are made with synthetic fibers such as polyester and nylon which are made from petrochemicals. Microfibers are not made from a renewable resource and are not biodegradable.

For most cleaning applications they are designed for repeated use rather than being discarded after use[4] (an exception is the precise cleaning of optical components where a 'wet' cloth is drawn once across the object and must not be used again as the debris collected and now embedded in the cloth may scratch the optical surface)."

I rest my case! :P

Yeah the point is that they're washable... we've washed them numerous times and they wash pretty well, unless your car is absolutely caked in mud, it comes off the microfibre cloth pretty easily, returning pretty much to its original state, ready for washing again!

I rest my case! :P

I reckon if I had used any of the similar products here on my car in the eight years of ownership the paintwork would be pretty much the same  ........................But the underside, suspension, radiator, crossmebers etc, would be nicely corroded with eight long years of road salts eating away at them ;)

I like power washing, wash & wax shampooing, drying off, polishing, using tyre dressing, vinyl dressing the hood, Autosol-ing the chrome etc, etc,......as often as I can

^ I like using tyre dressing and wonder wheels for the wheels... the Showroom Shine is just great for the bodywork. Obviously I get the power washer out once in a while for the underside, and I wet the areas underneath the wheel arches, but I'm simply saying that the SS is great for saving time, whilst bringing fantastic results. If some people don't want to use it, that's fine but some of us use it and know it's a fine product. Autoglym do some 'Bird dirt remover' wipes which are handy to have in the car... as you know, if you leave bird muck for too long it can damage the paint, best to get it off as early as you can really. The wipes are really good. And the microfibre cloths are fine to use again IF YOU WASH THEM, they return to looking like new!

I`ve been a member of the http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/ forum for quite a while and can tell you I have spent a fortune on a hell of a lot of excellent top line products Zaino, Wolfgang, Optimum, Ultima, Dodo, the HD range,Gtechniq, Nanolex, you name it I`ve either got it or tried it.

To all the doubters (I was one until I relented and bought some) please don`t knock Showroom Shine/Proshine unless you`ve tried it for yourself.

Hard as it my seem to believe/understand it does indeed work as described, not hype, fact !

Aye you miss nowt !

Truth of it is my Hilux went my moons ago then I bought a black Jag 2.7d (hence all the !Removed! polishes, waxes and sealants) and was thinking of getting a new Verso for the wife but a lad at work has just started having some oil control problems on his 57 plate 2.2d Verso.

The forum is obviously the best place to see what the `craic`is :)

Had an Aygo black and it was a brilliant car.....a pig to keep pristine but worth the effort ;)

Got two lazy silvers now with mine and the IQ, a bit more forgiving when neglected for a day or two

^ I've got an Aygo Black, it is indeed hard to keep clean. Showroom shine'd it today... got most of the muck off with a bucket of water and Simoniz car shampoo first, mainly because it had just been raining, dried it, then went on with the Showroom Shine. It makes the black paintwork look SO deep!! Also used Wonder Wheels and Meguiars Hot Wax tyre dressing... looks like it did the day I bought it. Nice proper valet inside too. Looks like new. I agree with Diesel Dave... try it!

It amazes me how cleaning your car can invoke such strong emotions :P

Well I have tried it on my Aygo Black , and as others have said, washed it first and the used said Showroom Shine, I was well impressed with the results..came up like new

Dont believe you can realistically use it on a dirty car...

As for the microfibre cloths, well I wash and re-use them... as far as I'm aware a car is a car, and not an optical device (no offence) :D and how often to people re-use sponges/cleaning mits etc..

The Aygo has now gone and on my new car I have used it several times to try and build a layer of the wax...the finish is brilliant but so it should be on brand new paint

so I guess you pays ya money and takes ya choice...

Uh-Oh now ive gone and done it... Ive started WWIII! It seems we all have different opinions on this product, I was just curious as to whether it can do that, It may scratch with the dirt that may be present on the cloth but lets keep everybody happy here, wash it down with a hose/jetwash first to get the awkward stubborn dirt off, then use Dry shine or the other products, it may seem pointless as its meant to wash the car by just spraying it but just to be safe give him/her a spray then spruce her up with dry shine. Im going to try it this weekend depending on how much of a good mood im in as i have my navy fitness test on sunday which is car wash day for me :-)

Sorry if ive caused an argument here :-( Lol

Remember we are all aygo owners here so lets all act like um and not act like well other car owners (Didnt want to offend any specific car owners) :-)

Thanks again

Luke
