Rav4 X180 Engine

Been looking at my RAV options.

I knew there were new facelifts out, but looking at Toyota's website, I didn't appreciate that the SR/T 180 engines had been discontinued. Is that right?

Anyone know if they are planning anything more powerful than the 150 diesel engines?

Try a run in 150 engine. They have tweeked the power and torque and it is surprisingly good. Duncs had a T180 and he reckons there isn't much to choose.

This might seem a daft reply, but i asked that very question at a Mr T recently and was told they are not going to do a 180 version because the existing T180 struggled to meet the Euro emissions.. I thought the D Cat 180 was more environmently friendly than the current 136bhp version but what do I know!! KIA seem to get 194 bhp out of a 2.2 diesel without problems.. Stew

Also get a 7 year warranty where as Mr T only 3..............very poor show....

400 is pushing it a bit - but if that's what you need to escape out of Lanarkshire pronto, then so be it :)

And I would love a 3 door T180 equivalent.

I think Toyota are shooting themselves in the foot discontinuing both the 3 doors and the 180 engine.
