Loose Boot Handle (External)

Morning

Since the weekend, the part above the number plate which you hold to open the boot (sorry, I dont know its technical name) has become loose meaning that when I open the boot, it comes away slightly. The part in question seems to be plastic and clips back into place without any problem but its just annoying.

Has anyone else had this problem? Any advice would be gratefully received. The car is outside of the warranty period.

Thanks

Craig

Hi. Hope this will help you.

Thanks for that, its very useful. If I am interpreting the diagram correctly, then my conclusion is that one of the holding brackets may well have snapped. I'll investigate at the weekend.

Nothing to see here? I have the same exact problem but the diagram you describe in the post is not showing on my browser? I realise this post is 10 years old now thanks

One of the above posters has not been on this forum since Feb 2011, and the other since Jan 2012.

Am I suggest you start a fresh thread in the Avensis section, see what replies you get.
