New Forum Layout

Well that explains why the site had been locked for the last day or so.

One problem though, everything seems to take up much more space than before, meaning more scrolling.

Just moving around the new forum and looking at threads and I'm starting to like it less as time goes on.

You shouldn't use red as a main text colour - it's not good for those with visual impairment and some of the fonts are far too small - Previous topic, next topic etc.

This is the third forum I use which has been changed in the last month - must be something in the water - but up to press two are worse than what they replaced. One of them has been down for about 3 weeks as they didn't do any beta testing and it was useless.

Woah!! I thought I typed in the wrong forum address for a second. Was not expecting a completely new re-design, just some back end updates.

Cannot comment on the changes as not really used it yet, but I am open to change if it's for the better so let's see wait and see. One improvement is Celical on top...Very Toyota, if only Toyota made sports cars again. :(

Had another look round and would add - The black is not black enough to read easily, the red bars are too bright and the red thread headings on white are not nice, and we have a Celicia at the top of the Aygo forum.

Don't think this address will remain on my favourites list for long. It's all rather horrid really.

To whoever it is who's in charge of the forum's templating, can we *please* have changed certain line-height/padding/margin elements in the template's stylesheets so the forum posts/list of threads are not so spaced apart? It is hard to read for my bad eyes. I'm not sure we need so much spacing on the paragraphs? Thanks!

Oh, dear. Would someone please list for me the improvements the changes are intended to bring about? I find it much harder to find the new threads/new posts, and I just don't see how this layout is an improvement on the old one. And all that RED is just disconcerting and unpleasant to look at.

Please at least consider going back to the cooler, less obtrusive blue . . . . .

I agree that this new layout takes up WAY too much space, especially with all the stickies...

Maybe those can be put in a collapsible sub-group? And it might also be handy to force

links to open up in a new window or tab. Now they open in the existing window...

As for the colors; I kind of like them. And a Celica above the Aygo-forum isn't bad,

in the previous version of the Logo there was an Aygo-grille, even outside the Aygo-section...

This is a TOYOTA Owners club and a Celica IS a Toyota...

isn't the picture at the top of the forum of the FT-86 Concept? IE that's probably going to turn into the 'new Celica' eventually... I'm getting used to the new layout now, but I still prefer the old one... it just seemed easier to find stuff and I think it looked a bit neater as well, there's too much going on with this layout...

I am sure some new skins could be added to help those with vision problems, and many of the comments made i agree with, the old layout was much better to navigate than this layout.
