Hello

I am hoping someone can give me information on tyres for my Toyota Yaris 1.0 T3 (2007)

The manual shows I can have tyres (for below 100mph - I wish!) of 165/70 R14, 175/65 R14, 185/60 R 15 or 185/60 R15.

Currently the tyres are Dunlop 185/60 R 15.

I am seeking reasonable quality, well priced tyres for mostly local runs - occasional motorway driving only.

Would anyone know which is the optimum tyre size for my car and driving? Suggested brands would be helpful too, if you have the time.

Many thanks for any help.

Regards

Have a look here

Here's a snipit from the link

Toyota Yaris – 175/65 14T Bridgestone ER30

The new Yaris has been hailed by many as the best small car available at the moment. There is excellent internal cabin space and for a small car the storage space available is second to none. The reduction in the wheel base does make town driving slightly bouncy and as such the correct tyres are required to provide comfort throughout journey. An option for the Yaris would be to fit a Pirelli P3000 energy a tyre designed to work with the car and provide excellent fuel economy. Also a Michelin E3A would complement this vehicle and should ensure a pleasurable driving experience.

Also have a look hear http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Michelin/Energy-Saver.htm The first thing i thought of was Michelin , If you are a member of Costco you may save a few bob by buying and having your tyres fitted by them , they offer an excellent fitting service , balancing , valves ect are all included in the price and your tyres are inflated using nitrogen , i have been buying my tyres from them for years and can thoroughly recommend them , lastly here's the link for costco http://www.costco.co.uk/Depts&Servs_main/Depts_servs/Tyre/tyre_centre.htm
