hello peeps

Just wanted general opinion on 2 cheap mods i am looking to do to my navy blue (not storn blue) gen 7

1_ caliper paint

So i was wondering anyone with same colour celica.. what colour have you done yours, or what colour does every one think goes with blue?

2_ de-butterflying

As u can tell by topic title am on a budget and i am really tempted to remove my butterfly valve ..only really interested in the sound ...any reason why I shouldnt do this?

Also if not this then would anyone here ever use a cheap induction kit off eBay? Debutterfly vs cheap induction??

Thanks for input in advance. Il get a pic of car up later as im in work at the moment using my phone and dreaming about my car haha...

Don't think you could go wrong with silver callipers, or maybe red. Black would be nice and easy to keep clean too.

I'm guessing yours is the same blue as mine, lagoon blue then?

Giving it a de-butterfly does make it sound nice, but power gains are definitely debatable. It not only silences the intake but it also increases the air speed. So in that one it's your choice. It's that easy you can take it out and see how you feel, if not just slot it back in. It really doesn't suit the 190bhp models, but from what I can make out it doesn't really effect the 140s - just giving you a better sound.
