Hi everyone

Just bought a new 2010 Rav4 and just like the 2005 Matrix i owned, the seat belt warning sound drives me nutty!

I tried the "ODO" trick that i used with my 2005 Matrix and it did not work. The dealer wants to charge me $40.00 to do it......... (NOT) lol

Anyone know how to do this? Is the 2010 different than the earlier models?

Thanks much

Lenny

Sorry, Lenny, this parameter can only be changed using the dealer's scantool. When I brought my 2008 in for the first oil change, I showed the service writer the printout with the options I wanted changed, including that annoying seat belt warning. She told me that since this was a convenience option, she would have to charge me for a half hour of labor. So then I fibbed and said that the salesman had told me I could get the parameters changed for free the first time, and she did it at no charge. After programming, the driver's seatbelt warning only beeps 5 times, and the passenger's never sounds. I also had them change the remote to open all the doors with one button press, and eliminate the stupid 10-second beep when you try to lock the doors while one is ajar. Here is the list of parameters that can be changed:
