Hi all, got a really weird fault with the car. My Battery went flat last night for some unknown reason,

jump started it this evening which of course set the alarm off pressed the button to shut it up and now the damn

drivers side indicator is stuck on! even with the ignition off! had to take all the bulbs out

but the dash arrow is still lite. Anyone had this happen before, cant find anything about it on Google.

The left hand side still works ok, can hear the relay going. Also the alarm is still working fine.

Anyone got any ideas? a bit lost with this one :crybaby:

I guess you've tried disconnecting the Battery for a while?

hi, ya tried that but made no difference. It seems like the alarm might had buggered up as the indicator and hazzard relays seem to work. I've had to take the fuse out for the hazzard light to get the indicators working again but now have no central locking alarm or hazzard lights  fun.

  • 4 years later...

An old post, but I just had similar on my 1998 6th gen: Left indicator stuck on, again had to remove the Hazard fuse in the engine bay fuse box.

A week later (car not being used), the red door open lights were rapidly flashing on and off continuously. Fitted a new Battery (by chance *without* using another Battery to retain 12V for radio etc. while swapping) and all these gremlins were fixed!

Edit: p.s. I know that pre-facelift 6th gen Celica must have their 12V retained while swapping the Battery, otherwise the immobilizer dies. This happened on my '95 GT.
