The impending introduction of alternative hybrid models may also have influenced this decision.

The new hybrid Auris is likely to bleed away customers from the bottom end of the Prius market while the Lexus CT 200h could do the same at the top end?

Hang on to it for a few decades, keep it in A1 mint condition and you never know. :lol:

Although that isn't why I bought my Prius.

I wanted a decent spec, largish automatic car that didn't drink lots of petrol.

Did consider diesel too but surprisingly the Prius was cheaper.

As a bonus, the Prius road tax is zero.

I'm not too bothered if the resale value drops.

I don't plan to sell, I plan to keep.
