Interior Clock ~ On Or Off ?

Hi Guys, The interior clock on my 1998 Rav dosen't go out or dim when the ignition is off. Is this normal? Just wondered as after not using the Rav for 2 days last week, the Battery was totally flat, as though something had drained the engine. I 've read the previous posts on flat Battery syndrome and I wondered if the clock had anything to do with it!( previous owners had fitted Battery for 1.1 car, so that certainly didn't help !!!!) Appreciate any help. Thanks

you're lucky the clock works at all... the early 4.1s clocks suffered from a dry solder connection and stop working after the first early years - they can come on by thumping the dashboard!

I'd doubt a clock would drain the Battery so try getting it tested by a local accessory shop....the Battery - not the shop or the clock.
