Key Fob

Hello everybody

Just bought a 4.3 xt4 petrol so i thought i'd finally register and introduce myself. I've spent alot of time on the site reading through alot of information which was a great deal of help when i was looking for a Rav, i new what faults to look for so many thanks.

I have a quick question regarding the key fob casings. I notice the casings on my keys are shall we say well worn, scruffy etc and would prefer to have a new casing if i can.

I've looked on eBay and dont seem to be able to find cases the same as mine. Does anyone have a link or has anyone swapped/changed theirs ?

Thanks.

Welcome to the club.

I know what you mean, the rubber cover becomes distorted. You can find the keyfobs on eBay but they are the later type with buttons that cannot distort. What I don't know is if they contain a chip or if the chip is transferred with the old "innards". They are quite cheap so it won't break the bank to try. You just need to get it cut at the local hardware store.

Good luck.
