Vsc - Does It Make A Difference?

Looking to buy a 4.2 and noticed that the XT3 does not have vehicle stability control. As I'm not too bothered about leather seats and the like I don't really need an XT4 or 5 but does VSC really make a difference?

Thanks

my first 2 Ravs didn't have it, my current rav does, Anchs + I went out in thick snow + had to work very hard to get it to come on, So no in my opinion you won't notice it, however its reassuring to know its there and as theres very little price difference between a used XT3 + XT4 why not have the available extras anyway? you will re-coupe the small difference when you come to sell + have the benefits whilst you own it. Stew

Thanks. I'm actually looking at a Granite which as I'm sure you all know is an XT3 with 17" wheels, CD changer, side steps and a couple of other tweaks. Really don't want leather seats as I find them cold in winter and unbearably hot in summer especially as my drive is south facing.

In my opinion VSC is worth every penny. Euro NCAP have just started to test it as part of their tests.

Hmmm, you've got me wondering now. An XTR was my first choice but there hasn't been many for sale around my way. Perhaps I'll keep looking.

Now lets see it with VSC off, for a comparison?

Is it just the 4.2's on that have VSC, can't find any mention of it in the spec of the VX models?

I think it is the later "XT" models with round spot lights and then probably higher up the range or XT-R.

VSC is one of those wonders that you will be glad you had if anything horrible happens. Swerve to avoid something in the carriageay at 70 MPH and you will likely avoid it with VSC, without it you could end up in a spin!

Looks like it a YES then, VSC does make a difference. So no XT3's for me then.

Thanks everyone.
