Aygo Starting Probs

My wifes Aygo has had starting problems for a while,what happens is you turn engine over and starter motor not engaging.Though might need new starter motor.So went to dealer and said oh yes requires a mod,they fitted complete new starter motor and ignition switch.Now starts sweet as a nut. They are not forthright with information hoping people go and buy starter motor first probably.So if you have problems they should tell you if your aygo needs mod think if built between certain time.Dont know which dates sorry.But problem sorted under warranty.

What's the actual symptom Graham? Do you just get that "whine" noise with the key turned so have to try again?

I had the same problem. Starter motor packed in after only 5000 miles in 2 yrs.
