hahah £5 for fuel, ive done that b4, baught a car with almost all the cash i had and the extra £5-10 for fuel to get home, then go hungry for a week
bloody hell that insurance is high!!! ur best doing pass plus course, then getting a small run abt for 2 years and then when u got some NCD shud be ok, but it wont go down that much till after ur 25.
Can u get put on ur dads insurance? sometimes its cheaper if you pay him the difference?

yeh we are going to check out the options when it comes to going on his policy, but it looks like I will just be paying the difference as you said. :)

It's not easy to get insurance on a GTi to say the least...

nope, certainly isnt. I tried to insure a nizzan 100ZX 2 years after i passed my test, still was quoted £274 a month! Its insane! Its all to do with the power of the car, insurance companies judge people on there car and there age, not on how well they drive or how mature they are behind the wheel.

Its a small minority of stupid irresponsible drivers who wreck it for the majority of first time drivers so everyone is treated the same.

yep, that or anything thats under a 1.2 1.3 u can prob stretch 2 depending on the car. Fiesta or a renault 5 lol!

haha! It would also be good to get into the Dub scene... :D But then again, any mods make it fly up! I guess that I will have to settle for a bog standard crap-mobile until I'm 25 then. :( :lol:
