Problem Starting 1.4 D-4-D

Hi guys, I was just wondering has anyone else had a problem like this?? Car is 2008 1.4 d-4d 36 k on clock .Went out this morning turned the key let the glow plug light go out then started if fine drove for about 20 min parked up came back sat in turned the key no glow plug light came on just the fan kicked in then bout 15 sec later had a warning check Battery and power steering come up on the dash ?? Havent checked the voltage across the Battery just incase anyone asks cant find a multimeter but the indicator on the Battery says its fine Any help would be great Thanks again, Gearoid
