Hi all, im potentially buying a gen 7 from a private seller tomorrow. Basically I just want your opinion on the milage of the car as it's don 102k. Its an 02 pre-facelift Gen7 with premium and sports packs, lowered Koni springs and 18 inch vvtli alloys. The owner has confirmed that it DOES NOT have the dreaded pre-facelift oil problem and had only had to top it up one or 2 times in the last 19 months of owning it. It also has a FULL TOYOTA service history. I'm just in 2 minds about the milage, otherwise the car is mint. He's looking for £3500 o.n.o What's your opinion?

Why not buy a face lift? For the same money you can buy a later example without the Oil problem, nicer interior, better brakes etc. etc.

I'd also be cautious when looking at a car that's been modified such as having lowering springs already fitted. Those wheels aren't standard either being 18". They run 17" on the higher models, as opposed to 16" as standard.
