Lights On A Yaris + I'm Nearly A T-Sport Owner......

Guys,

What's the lights like on a Yaris?

When I first got my Corolla I was quite disappointed with the lights and soon changed the bulbs for some Xtreme Power ones.

Are there any road legal HID kits?

I've got a deposit down on an '05 plate Red T-Sport and am going to look at it on Saturday.

The lights aren't as great as some other cars - but no "H4" bulb based lights are ever going to be the best....

They are perfectly OK though - especially if you fit the Phillips X-treme vision upgrade bulbs that are nearly twice as bright as the standard bulbs and came out top of an evalutaion test in Auto Express of all extra bright bulbs.

And there are no road legal HID kits.... To be road legal in the UK, you would have to fit an automatic beam levelling system and also a headlight washer system and none of the kits available provide that.

I have seen some "projector" headlights on eBay that look cool, but unless you want to spend hundreds, the X-treme Vision bulbs make the headlights perfectly great.

Suggest you chaneg the bulbs every two or three years as well, if light output is important to you, as all bulbs gradually dim over time......

That's right, I forgot about the leveling kit. Haven't looked at the HIDs for a while.

The Phillips X-treme is the one's I fitted in the Corolla. Are they easy to change on the Yaris?

Its a 5-minute job. Its just fiddley on the nearside becuse you have very little clearance at the back of the light.
