Hey Martin,

the wheels are 17" big, and 7" wide ;)

And thank you for your comment

Martin do you have a build thread?

Been looking for a 2nd (older) car the last weeks, because i'm following evening class lessons for Car body work (editing + repair etc).

So need a car to work on, and the corolla doesn't need more editing IMO :P

Saw this starlet about 1km from my house:

starlet.jpg

Hasn't got much kilometers, and always been taken care of by someone who is car mechanic.

So, who knows, this can become my next pride :D

Get an AE92, a project worth having IMO as they are so rare! ;)

Nah, for someone as young as me, in my country that's just too expensive.

And you're just a little too late, because I'm just back home from buying it!

Here some pics of the 2nd daily ride:

Let's blow away the dust from this topic lol

Some news.

The corolla has been checked in MOT (or road worhty, i don't know how u UK people call it :P )

IT had abit a riced look though.

foto0314z.jpg

foto0315e.jpg

On these pics the car wasn't screwed higher yet on the coils, the taillights weren't modified back to normal yet for the check (have got the jdm modified thing, working with lights + brakes), and the xenon was still in in stead of original bulbs.

And actually, i have been a naughty boy!

Went to the check with the (illegal) spacers on at the rear :)

How did i hide them:

foto0316h.jpg

foto0317b.jpg

And they didn't notice :P

And on the last pic u can see the height i need to go to the mot:

foto0318yc.jpg

Sooo damn high! :D

That's it for now i guess.

The corolla will stay this high untill after winter, because my girlfriend needs it sometimes.

I also took off the edited t-sport front bumper, just for safety ;)

lol looks so weird like that after seeing it dropped on its balls with the wheels and everything hehe!

Hehe yea i know, but after the mot check i removed the plastic wheel dishes, looks abit mean on black steels :P

xenon is already installed again, and the tails are also back modified to JDM.

I'm thinking of removing the bottom plate after winter, and putting it down one more cm on the coils.

Then i will have 3cm freedom at bottom.

:o The spacers are illegal? Wasn't aware of that, was gonna buy some soon lol..

Here in Belgium they are illegal, because they haven't got the CE euromark or something :P

But, you can try the same as i did, paint them black and go to the mot with steelies on ;)

Nice one dude, nothing like a good bit of test dodging for a highly illegal car

Fair comment on the AE92 though, they're expensive here too! I check to see how much mine would've been worth had I not stripped it down, and it came back as £1500! That's 3 time what I paid!!!

The corolla has been lowered again, i was affraid, fear of heights lol ;)

At the front she's as low as before, but at the rear i dropped her 0.5cm more.

Here's a pic of the very dirty rolla, with my friends fiesta S in front of it:

man, that fiesta is lower than your car....get that sorted, hahaha :D

loving the steelies B)

Posted

Nope, i'm lower ;)

He just seems lower because his arches come lower.

I'm om 3.8cm from ground, he is 7.7cm from ground :D

Bu that's because my bottom plate and exhaust line (part under the rear seats) come !Removed! low :(

Else i would be even 2cm lower, for sure! :D

When I checked mine through MOT it had the oversized engine (from 1.4L to 1.8L), the second catalyst was removed plus it was lowered about 3,5cm...

They didn't notice anything...

The reason for this is because I kept the same engine block (so the number engraved on the block still states 4zz), and even with the second catalyst removed, the exhaust fumes' measurement was within the limits... I can say that the exhaust fumes' measurement was even better than when I had checked the car 2 years ago when it was still 1.4L... Unbelievable???

The funny part was that when they called me to get the car back, they said to me that they have found a problem... I was afraid that they might have noticed something regarding the oversized engine etc. but fortunately they just told me that the light of the reverse gear was not working and I had to fix it, (and then pass again to check that it was fixed).

I did it the next day and everything was just fine...

Haha that's funn to read, i wouldn't even think about doing such thing, as good as i am lol :P

Next update: US / Japanese running lights! :D

Makes the side markers (am i using the right words? :P ) light up for 30% of their capacity when u put on the citylights.

When u activate the side markers they go 30% - full - 30% - full - etc. ;)

Where on earth do you come up with these mods??!!! :yahoo: It is the first time I hear about something like this! :D

Very nice and very interesting! Is it helpful/useful at all or is it just for better looks?

Posted

It is 100% for the (Japanese) looks actually :P

But here in Belgium there are alot of cars who got this installed.

Only costs € 25 (about £ 20 i think), but takes 90 minutes to install for our corollas.

Because the front bumper and headlights have to be taken off :P

Yes indeed :P

Now some other news.

The wheels of last summer are sold.

Last time i washed them i was kinda sick of washing the polished lip, very careful etc.

So i'm going to buy some equal coloured wheels, probably white ones :D

Here some photoshops of a possible wheel:
