Squeaks - Driver's Seat

Hi IQ-ers,

For a couple of months now, my driver's seat has been sqeaking. It sounds like it's coming from where the back rest meets the seat. Particularly noticable on bumpy roads. Now I'm not particularly overweight or anything, infact under weight for my 6ft height, but I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced the same issue. Have notified Mr-T and will be booking it in soon to check it out.

I also have had the same over speed bumps etc.I put it down to having a seat cover on creating extra pressure on the seat back?it dosn't happen all the time so i just ignore it ..

Had my IQ2 just a year now and my drivers seat started squeeking about 1 month ago. Just now and then when your body weight shifts when breaking or moving back slightly. Just turned up the radio a bit more !

In my iQ2, with almost an year old (next 29th of May) I noticed that when I break or accelerate, as my body wheight shifts, I ear not a squeek but a little "clanc". I believe that the seat moves a little forward and backwards. I'm waiting that the seat with the height ajustment gets to Portugal to go to Mr.T and ask if it's possible to exchange mine for one with the ajustable issue.

Hi all, yes, I also get the "clanc", but I think i've resolved the "squeak". Believe it or not, it was actually coming from the bracket that is attached to the seat belt socket. I have since altered the position of the holder (point it facing forward) and the squeak has not come back since. Can anyone else confirm?
